PlayingFild Calendar

A calendar for people who lose track of time. Say what’s on in plain
English, block out the time you actually mean to be productive, and let it
work out when things realistically fit.

Before you open it

The app isn’t signed by Apple yet, so macOS will block it the first time
and may say it’s damaged. It isn’t. Right-click the app and choose
Open
, then confirm. You only have to do this once.

What it does

Just say what’s on

Type “meeting founder on call for 1h” or “gym tomorrow 6pm,
dentist Friday at 2”
. It picks out the times, dates and lengths and
shows you what it understood before anything is added. No forms, no
dropdowns, no picking a start and end time before you’re allowed to
remember a thing.

Productive mode

Mark out the hours you intend to be working, separately from your normal
events. The PlayingFild browser extension can read those blocks, so it
knows when to be strict and when to leave you alone.

Break a goal into pieces

Describe something you’re trying to get done and a deadline. It splits
into sized sessions placed around what’s already booked. It won’t
double-book you, won’t put two sessions on one day, and caps the plan at
something a person will actually follow.

Screenshot a timetable

Paste a screenshot of a timetable, an appointment letter or a group chat.
It reads the dates and times and turns them into events. You confirm each
one before it’s added.

It learns when you actually follow through

Tell it whether a focus block happened and it learns which times of day
work for you. It also tells you how sure it is, so you’re never handed a
pattern built from two data points.

Countdown to what matters

Mark a test, an interview or a deadline and the days remaining sit at the
top of the calendar.

When things slip

Running late? Push it back. Missed it entirely? It finds the next slot
that actually works. Missing things is the normal case this was built for,
not a failure to report.

Your data stays yours

No account. No server. No tracking. The AI model and the text recognition
both run on your own machine and ship inside the app, which is why the
download is large: nothing is fetched later and it works with no internet
at all. The only network request it can make is to a calendar link you
paste in yourself.

Already using the extension?

Open the PlayingFild dashboard and find the calendar card between the
Unproductive Tab Closer and the Work Timer. Export your focus blocks from
Advanced in the calendar app, then load them there to see your week
without leaving the browser.
